Local Attractions

This area is one of outstanding natural beauty. The Sedelle and the Creuse rivers meander through some magnificent and quintessentially french villages on either side of the A20. Villages such as Gargilesse, Crozant, La Celle Dunoise and Benevent L’Abbaye are a small selection that are worthy of a visit.

It is also an area perfect for outdoor enthusiasts as there are numerous tracks for horse-riding, walking, cycling. The many lakes also attract water sport enthusiasts into the area.

The communities in this region hold many events throughout the year from small village concerts in local churches to much grander attractions such as the Light and Sound Spectacular held locally in Bridiers once a year during the month of August. Here in Saint Germain Beaupre we have just held a tribute evening to one of the oldest recorded oak trees in the Cruese at over 400 years old (October 2015). This just serves to illustrate the charm of the region.
